The 2003 BELL Conference "Ecosystems and enterprise: Perspectives on education for sustainable business" examined educational lessons that arise from the interplay between enterprises seeking sustainability and the context in which they operate. Conference tracks included:

  • Tourism and sustainability: Building, operating, and sustaining paradise;
  • Green building and developing sustainable places;
  • Sustainability and natural resource industries: Farming, phosphate, forestry, and fisheries;
  • Sustainable energy: Generation, usage, and regulation; and
  • Innovative academic programs.
