Zeren joined the EMBARQ team in the summer of 2007 to support and expand EMBARQ’s activities in Turkey. Before starting at EMBARQ, she spent time at the European Federation for Transport and Environment in Brussels and did research to assist the “Clean Fuels and Vehicles Project.”

Zeren holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations from the Bogazici (Bosphorus) University and a MSc in Environmental Management and Policy from the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics, Lund University, Sweden.

Her interests are sustainable urban transport policies, environmental policies and management, (environmental) local governance and civil society, and the UN’s Local Agenda 21.
