Volha Roshchanka supports communications, research, fundraising, and implementation of WRI's forestry projects in Russia and Eastern Europe.  She attended an international school in Norway, then studied in Italy, and most recently graduated from College of the Atlantic, in Bar Harbor, Maine. During her four years in Maine, she studied Human Ecology -- a multi-disciplinary approach to understanding interactions between humans and their environments. Her senior thesis research was to examine management practices of NGOs on site in Poland and Ukraine. In addition to Belarusian and Russian, she is conversant with Italian, Polish, and Swedish.
