Rina joined WRI in January 2006 with a strong interest in the nexus between international environmental issues and poverty. She works in the Development Department, researching U.S. and foreign governments’ and various multilateral organizations’ sustainable development priorities in search of potential funding opportunities for WRI.

Prior to coming to WRI, she spent three years working for a small environmental consulting firm in Boston. She holds an undergraduate degree in international business from the George Washington University and a master’s degree in environment and development from the London School of Economics and Political Science in the UK. In between college and grad school she worked for Defenders of Wildlife for five years.
