Polly Ghazi is WRI’s writer/editor. She has extensive experience writing on sustainability issues as a journalist, author and consultant. She was most recently a freelance sustainability writer and before that worked as the Environment Correspondent of The Observer, a UK national Sunday newspaper. She has published three books, including the bestselling Downshifting: A Guide to Happier, Simpler Living and The Low Carbon Diet, published in 2007. She continues to contribute occasional articles to The Guardian’s environment pages and writes a column American Eye for Green Futures, a UK magazine.
Polly lives in Washington D.C. with her husband Allan Thornton, a Greenpeace founder and their two daughters.
