Lydia Weiss joined WRI’s Legislative Affairs group in October, 2007. From 2004 until 2007 Lydia worked as a lobbyist for Defenders of Wildlife, where she focused on energy issues including global warming, offshore drilling and protection of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Before joining Defenders of Wildlife, Lydia worked in WRI’s then-Sustainable Enterprise Program. Prior to that, Lydia ran the national endorsement program for the League of Conservation Voters. Lydia also worked for the Cook Political Report, a non-partisan, online analysis of electoral politics.

Lydia Weiss holds degrees in History and Environmental Studies from Williams College. She lives in Washington, DC with her husband.
