Derik Broekhoff is a senior member of the GHG Protocol team at the World Resources Institute. He manages WRI’s work on carbon offset project accounting, emissions trading, and carbon market policy development. Derik is a primary author of the GHG Protocol for Project Accounting.

Prior to joining WRI he worked for ten years in the fields of energy and climate change consulting, where he developed financial and economic analytical tools for GHG market forecasting, risk management, project evaluation, and business strategy development for a wide range of private and public sector clients. Mr. Broekhoff has a B.A. in International Relations from Stanford University and a Masters degree in Public Policy from the University of California at Berkeley.
