Chandan Singh as Research Analyst for the Markets & Enterprise program. He will be working with the New Ventures team on our various projects in India such as the Accelerating Clean Energy Markets and Clean Energy BOP Research projects.

Chandan is recognized for his experience in energy management and start-up renewable energy projects in emerging economies. He received his MBA from the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University and while attending the program developed a business plan for a clean energy enterprise in India for the Global Social Environmental Competition and won as a finalist. During that time, he also worked as a strategic and financial analyst for a company looking to explore the clean energy sector in India.

While pursuing his MBA, he also had the opportunity to be part of the Climate Project where he was personally trained by Al Gore to educate the public about climate change. He presented throughout the Atlanta area while also serving as Sierra Club’s Cool Cities Coordinator for Georgia. After graduate school, he worked for Utilities Management Corporation as a Business Analyst. In that role, he analyzed many of the Federal buildings under the management of the Architect of the Capitol as well as the Capitol Power Plant to find opportunities for improving their current systems and meet the Energy Policy Act of 2005.

In his free time, Chandan enjoys volunteering, exploring the great outdoors and watching live music performances around the DC area. He is looking forward to working with the New Ventures team in order to find new avenues where markets can facilitate positive environmental and social change.
