Abstract:
This dataset contains percent tree cover for the Wider caribbean at 500 m reolution. Developed at the University of Marylan, this product was generated from monthly composites of 500 meter resolution MODIS data. This product corresponds with the 1992 AVHRR Continuous Fields Tree Cover product Percent Tree Cover Product.
Purpose:
This dataset was extracted for the purposes of the Reefs at Risk in the Caribbean project (World Resources Institute, 2004 - <http://reefsatrisk.wri.org>) analysis of sedimetation from land-based sources.
