- National Water Resources
Association. A nonprofit federation of U.S. state organizations
whose membership include rural water districts, municipal water
entities, commercial companies, and individuals. The NWRA is concerned
with teh appropriate management conservation, and use of water
and land resources on a national scope.
- UNEP/Global Environment Monitoring System Freshwater
Quality Programme. A multi-faceted water science program oriented
towards understanding freshwater quality issues throughout the
world. Major activities include monitoring, assessment, and capacity-building.
- U.S. Geological Survey Water
Division has the principal responsibility within the U.S.
Federal Government to provide the hydrologic information and understanding
needed by others to achieve the best use and management of the
nation's water resources.
- World Health Organization Hydrology
and Water Resources Programme seeks to promote
activities in operational hydrology to further
close cooperation between meteorogical and hydrological
sciences.
- The Water
and Food Security Country Profiles is an
information retrieval tool which groups the organization's
vast archive of information on its global activities
on water and food security in a single area and
catalogues it exclusively by country.
